Welcome to the terms and conditions of our Rental Runway Service. This is where you'll find all the information you need before you make the decision to rent a piece from us.
Please read these terms carefully and make sure that you understand them before requesting any rental from our website. By placing a rental order you agree to be bound by the terms stated below.

How long can I rent an item for?
That is up to you, you can select the amount of days using the calendar on our booking system. Please note, all items should be posted back on the last day of rental with next-day tracked delivery.
Are postage costs included in the daily rentable price?
Postage to you is included when you rent from us. We will post with tracked next day delivery. However, you are responsible for the cost of postage back to us. If you're local to West Yorkshire, you're more than welcome to drop it back off in person but please communicate this to us in advance.
I need to book a period of time that's not yet available on the calendar system as it's too far in advance, can I still book?
Absolutely, just contact us at info@laurashannon.co.uk with your rental request and all the relevant information. We'll create a custom invoice/booking for you.
Can I rent a piece if I'm not based in the UK?
As our rental service is a brand new feature, we're currently only renting within the UK right now.
Will I be charged a fee for late returns of my rented items?
It is so important that you return your rental on the last day of your purchased rental period, as many items have back-to-back reservations. If, for any reason, it looks like you can’t make your scheduled return date, please contact us by email at info@laurashannon.co.uk
Laura Shannon reserves the right to charge a £5/day late fee if your rental has not been shipped by the last day of your rental period. This will be taken out of your deposit. The late fee will be calculated from the last day of the rental period until the return shipment date. If the courier has been delayed, please email us the proof of shipment date with tracking so that we can try to assist you.
Where do I post back to? What's your return address?
This information will be on your rental invoice in your parcel when it's been delivered to you so you have it to hand when you need to ship the item back to us.
Deposits, Damage & Loss

Why am I being charged a deposit?
Your deposit amount serves as protection for us if the booking is cancelled last minute or as a damage deposit just in case in the unfortunate instance where an item is damaged beyond the scope of 'general wear and tear'.
The deposit amount depends on the item itself, to see the deposit amount you would be charged please select a period of time in the calender.
The deposit is fully refundable if the item is returned in the same condition it was sent in.
What if I damage or lose my rental?
If anything happens to your rental, even a small amount of damage, please inform us immediately. The better and quicker you manage the situation, the faster we can help you resolve it.
We know that general wear and tear is normal, e.g. a loose button, a small snag, etc. However, if the item is damaged beyond anything that would constitute 'general wear and tear', the cost of repairing the item will be taken out of your damage deposit. This decision is made by Laura Shannon only, and we will decide the amount deducted from the deposit whether it is the whole amount or a percentage of the amount. If this is the case, you will be made aware before this happens and be contacted with proof of the damage.
Laura Shannon reserves the right to charge/invoice you for the total estimated Replacement Value of the item if lost or damaged beyond repair. Please know that for some of these items e.g. our couture, the fees to replace/remake the items may be hefty. So please treat our items with respect.

Can I cancel my rental booking?
You can cancel your booking up until 72 hours before and receive a full refund, including your deposit.
If you cancel your booking within the 72 hour period before your booked rental period is to start, then your deposit will unfortunately be forfeited and you will receive a refund for the daily fee only. This is because at this point, we will already be making preparations for your item to be shipped.
